TPD2E2U06: USB2.0 Data Line and Power Line

Original customer choose the TPE2E001DRLR for the VBUS, D+, D- and GND pin of the USB connector. There is another TPD2E2U06, but it only protects the data line, how about the power line (VBUS and GND). Does it need an additional 1ch ESD protector for power line? thanks. 

BTW, is there recommended ESD protector for RS485/50Mbps in MD application? The TPD2E007DCKR is only 85degree, we're looking for 105/125degree rating ESD for RS485.

    Hi Brian,

    Yes, the customer would need an additional 1 channel device to protect the Vbus line. I would recommend either TPD1E10B06 or TVS0500. 

    Unfortunately, TPD2E007 is the only part in our portfolio that will work with RS-485 since that interface has bus voltages that go up to 12 V. However, we are planning to expand our portfolio to include more mid voltage devices, so stay tuned for that.
