LMH0324: Use of a balun at the input

Hello,

I must isolate the SDI signal on the PCB board. So my idea was to use a balun at the input. It should transform the unbalanced Signal from the BNC connector to an balanced signal, which I would connect to the IN+ and IN- of the LMH0324. Is this working? The datasheet only shows the use as an unbalanced input!

Vice versa, I also need to this on the output side with the LMH0318.

    Hi Matthias,

    Please note LMH0324 and LMH0318 are mainly used and characterized for SDI market where these devices used in a single ended fashion. For isolation purpose, perhaps one to one 75-ohm transformer with adequate bandwidth can be used. Please check with Pulse Transformer regarding this component.
