DS25BR150: Cable length inquiry

Hi Team,

Good day. I am posting this in behalf of our cusotmer. We have a question about DS25BR150 3.125Gbps LVDS Buffer. On page one of the datasheet, there is a cable to the input of the DS25BR150. What would be the maximum length of the cable that can be used to avoid compromising the signal.

Hi Jonathan,

DS25BR150 is a plain buffer. Length of the cable you noted depends on the signal source jitter, data rate, and receiver on the output of the DS25BR150 jitter tolerance. This part does not have any signal conditioning such as equalization onboard. There is a wide number of LVDS parts with signal conditioning - if these are needed.
