Hi team,

I'd like to know about the contact discharge.
The datasheet does not have a guaranteed contact discharge value(IEC61000-4-2), can it withstand 8kV?

    Kengo,

    These devices were designed a long time ago and don't include integrated protection for IEC61000-4-2 contact discharge. They reference +/-15kV protection in the datasheet, but this is referring to HBM level, not IEC. I don't believe we've tested 8kV IEC ESD strikes on this device, but there is no reason to believe it would pass. 

    This device will require external protection, like a TVS diode, to survive an 8kV IEC ESD strike.
