Dear Sirs,

As datasheet, the DS125BR800A state the TX De-emphasis up to -12dB, did that mean the Max. capability to recover loss is 12dB?

And how many dB of TX De-emphasis for DS125BR820 since I cannot find it in the datasheet.

Hi Peter,

DS125BR820 is a linear device and does not have de-emphasis capability. Since BR820 is a linear device, it means de-emphasis on its input would get transferred to its output - device is acting like wire and provides mainly high frequency gain. It is best to use BR820 IBIS-AMI file to make sure it meets your application requirements. Please send me a friend request along with your email so we can provide you with BR820 model.

Hi Sir,

Since BR820 did not have De-emphasis capability, did you have any idea about the loss of its TX if customer is not able to do simulation?

Hi Peter,

Customer can enable de-emphasis on device driving input of the BR820. If this is not available, then he/she can use BR800A with de-emphasis capability.
