Hi,

We have a requirement where we need to serialize (FPD LINK 3) 4 Sony FCB camera giving 1080 25fps over LVDS lines and on the other end receive it on a deserializer hub (Some thing like DS90UB960-Q) putting out MIPI-CSI.

Please suggest the right parts to accomplish this video path.

Can you give more details on the LVDS interface/data format of the camera or do you have any specific camera part number with documentation available online that we can look at?

Hi Casey,

We are using Sony FCB FCB-EV7100 ( https://www.rmaelectronics.com/content/Sony-Cameras/Sony_FCB-EV7100_Camera_Manual.pdf )

It has 4 LVDS + 1 Clock interface. Below is how the data packets look like. We will be using 1080p 50fps/25fps.

Hello Nithish,

This looks very similar to a previous inquiry we had in the forums about the FCB-EV7520A. We do not have a solution to translate this kind of data format into CSI-2 directly. It would need to be quite a complicated multiple chip solution to convert each FCB -> parallel RGB -> DS90UB925-Q1 -> DS90UB940-Q1 -> DS90UB953-Q1. Then 4x 953s could be aggregated by a DS90UB960-Q1
