My customer would like to disable Auto Negotiation functionality under Giga bit operation though, Could you tell me which bit should be changed to disable the function?

Hello Onawa-san,

To disable auto-negotiation advertisement of 1G mode, ensure that Reg 0x9 of DP83867[9:8] = 0x0. This will ensure that when auto-negotiation occurs, the highest speed that will be advertised is 100mbps.

Thanks for your prompt response on this.

Sorry, my explanation was not good.

They want to be linked up with 1G mode manually and they also want to disable AN function.

It looks your register setting just disable 1G advertisement though, how can we terminate AN function?

Hello Onawa-san,

To disable auto-negotiation, please ensure Reg 0x0[12] = 0x0. Also ensure you use Reg 0x0[6, 13] accordingly and configure Reg 0x9, 0x10 and double checking configurations using Reg 0x11.
