DS110DF1610: redriver mode

Hi team,

The customer wants the retimer to be able to manually select whether CDR is working or not. For example, there is a register that sets whether the CDR feature is enabled or not, and if not, the retimer is equivalent to a redriver, they looked at datasheet and did not see a clear explanation.

Please help to see if there is such a register. Where is the specific address and description?

I would recommend the following register writes to configure CDR bypass. These register writes are primarily based on Table 39 from the DS1xxDFxxx Programming Guide (SNLA323).

0x00	0x04	0x04	Reset channel register to default.
0x09	0x20	0x20	Enable override output mux use reg_0x1e.
0x1E	0x00	0xE0	Output raw data.
0x3F	0x80	0x80	Disable fast research for refmode 3.
0x31	0x00	0x60	Set adapt mode 0.
0x3A	0x00	0xFF	Set EQ boost value to 0.
0x40	0x00	0xFF	Set EQ boost value to 0.
0x03	0x00	0xFF	Set EQ boost value to 0.
0x0A	0x0C	0x0C	Assert CDR Reset
0x0A	0x00	0x0C	Release CDR Reset

Please note that it may be necessary to adjust register 0x3E as raw data still passes through the pre cursor FIR tap.
