Hi Team,

On a usb 5v supply, which is better for esd human handling protection, double-backed diode or single-ended tvs diode?

Do you have any 0201 size recommendations? I have seen the https://www.ti.com/product/TPD1E6B06

Hi Connor,

I'm assuming by "double-backed" and "single-ended", you mean bidirectional and unidirectional, respectively. Since Vbus does not experience negative voltages during normal operation, a unidirectional device would be preferred. However, if you need an 0201 package, TPD1E6B06 would be best since it has the highest IEC 61000-4-5 surge rating for our 0201 devices.
