Hello TI experts,
Could you check the difference between DS8921 and DS8921A?
(I found the difference of DS8921AT in the datasheet, but I cannot find DS8921A)
Best regards,
Chase

Hi Chase,
The 'A' character denotes the use of the PDIP (8) package as opposed to the SOIC (8) package. As you found, the 'T' denotes the extended temperature range option, which is only available in the PDIP package.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards,
Eric Schott
Dear Eric,
Thank you for your support.
I found only SOIC package in the product page and datasheet as below ; and I cannot find PDIP package at all.
Could you please check it again?
Best regards,
Chase
Chase,
Other than the topside marking of the IC, I can't find any differences on my end. I'm going to ask internally about this and get back to this thread by the end of the week. Thank you for your patience.

Dear Eric,
Thank you for your support. Please let me know if there are any updates.

Chase,
The only difference can be found in the datasheet in the Receiver and Driver switching characteristics. For propagation parameters tpLH and tpHL for the receiver, the maximum time for the DS8921 is 22.5ns, and for the DS8921A the maximum time is 20ns.
