DS90LV027A: Unused terminals

Hi All,

Please tell me about the state of unused terminals of DS90LV027A.

The data sheet states that unused terminals should be open.

However, I confirmed E2E. Since there is no internal pull-up and pull-down, it is connected to VCC or GND when considering noise interference.

Which is the recommended state for unused terminals?

Hi Ishiwata-san,

Are you asking about DS90LV027A D pin? If you want the differential output of the DS90LV027A to be LOW while unconnected then D can be tied to GND.

Hi Malik-san,

I'm hearing about the D pin of the input.
I understand that connect to GND when not using Dpin.

Why does the datasheet say that it should be Open?

Hi Ishiwata-san,

The section of teh datasheet you are referring to only references the input of DS90LV028A receiver device. DS90LV028A input is differential not single ended, LVDS differential receivers typically have built in fail safe for the open condition to keep its output stable.
