Hello. I use a pair of ds30ba101 and ds30ea101 devices through 5-10m of CAT6A cable. 120MHz clock signal is transmitted on this channel. At temperatures below -10 degrees Celsius, 100ns passes are observed at the outputs of the DS30EA101. Schematic as in datasheet, but on ds30ba101 Rvo=1k (versus 953Ohm).

Hi Sergey,

Do you see a similar issue when using a regular data pattern like PRBS10 ? DS30EA/BA are mainly targeted or have been characterized using regular data pattern.

Hi, Nasser.

I can't use any data patterns, because I'm using DS30BA/EA as cable extender for clock sygnal from crystall generator. I can't find any info about targeted ds30 using regular data patterns.

I need to transmit clock signal through ~10m CAT6A cable to another device to clocking ADC/DAC.

The generator and DS30BA has a room temperature. PCB with DS30EA was cooled to -15 Celsium. What happens to the DS30EA after warming up from -10?

Hi Sergey,

This part has not been characterized under this condition so unfortunately i cannot comment. You can take a look at 5-10 parts to get a good feeling for the device performance under this condition.

Hi Sergey,

We have clock buffers that could probably be used as a cable driver, I will have to find out if we have test report available. However, we don't have equalizer for the receive end.

As you described, the cable driver is at room temperature while the equalizer is cold down to -15C. If you don't use the equalizer, do you have any problem?
