Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

I want to know something about DP83TC811SEVM. What do I need if I want to use this board? All I know now is that the MSP430 controls the MDIO, and a 100Base-T1 PHY connects to it.

Additional questions:

1. I want to know if this board can do normal 100Base-Ti communication.

2. During normal communication, if you can. 0:3> Does the interface need an external signal source for input?

3. If possible, does the TX<0:3> interface require an external signal source for input during normal communication?

4. I want to carry out the protocol decoding of 100Base-T1. Can it be carried out?

    Hello,

    DP83TC811 can only do 100Base-T1 communication.

    I am unsure what you mean by question 2.

    Since TX MAC interface signals are inputs to the PHY, it will need external signals for it from a MAC.

    What do you mean by protocol decoding of 100Base-T1? This PHY will take MAC interface signals and convert it to 100Base-T1 signaling, and vise versa.
