can TPD2E001 (TPD2E001DRLRG4) be used instead of NUP2201MR6T1G (https://www.onsemi.com/products/discrete-power-modules/esd-protection-diodes/nup2201)

On Octopart's site this:

is displayed but is this valid information?

    Hello Juhani,

    Functionally and parametrically, TPD2E001DRLG4 can be used to replace NUP2201MR6T1G. However, it will not be a P2P replacement since they are in different packages. If you want a P2P replacement, you can use the 4-channel version, TPD4E001DBVR, and either float or ground pins 3 and 4.

    Hello Matt,

    thank you for your swift reply. The package type shouldn't be a critical spec in our case (I'm not an A-class expert on these to be honest) but if this is the case, is there an option available from the TPD2E001 that could be used? The last time we bought (and used) NUP2201MR6T1G the package was SOT23-6.

    If it helps, we won't be making changes to the PCB dimensions or specs, it is not possible at the moment.

    Hello Juhani,

    Unfortunately there are no package variants of TPD2E001 that will make it a drop replacement with NUP2201MR6T1G. You would need to use the DBV (SOT23-6) variant of TPD4E001. You could also use TPD2E2U06QDBZRQ1.
