Hi Hirokazu,
Can you provide more details about your application?
Thanks,
Drew
Hello Drew-san
This application is broadcast camera control unit.

Hirokazu Takahashi
Hi Takahashi-san,
What data rate and insertion loss does your application have?
Thanks,
Drew
Hello Drew-san
Thanks for your reply.
* I/F : 6G-SDI, 100ohm impedance control
* Data rate : 3Gbps, 6Gbps
* Input : 4ch, Output : 2ch
Is DS80PCI102SQ one candidate?
Best Regards,
Hirokazu Takahashi
Hi Takahashi-san,
Thanks for the additional details. For basic NRZ signaling, I would expect the DS80PCI102 to work. With that said, I'm not too familiar with the intricacies of SDI, so I'm not sure if there are additional considerations to be made. For example, I would not expect the DS80PCI102 to work well in a system with link training.
Thanks,
Drew
Greetings,
For SDI applications, it is recommended to use DS25CP104A or TI SDI device devices such as LMH1219 or LMH1228. Please send us a block diagram of the application and perhaps we can provide more comments.

Hello Nasser-san
Thanks for your reply.
The customer need 6Gbps.
I think DS25CP104A doesn't support it.
Can DS64BR401 be adopted as 6G SDI redriver ?
Best Regards,
Hirokazu Takahashi
Hi Takahashi-San,
For 3G SDI and lower SDI data rates, CP104 is an option. For 6G or 12G SDI then we need to consider LMH1226, LMH1218, or other 12G SDI parts. DS64BR401 does not meet the SDI data pattern requirements.
Regards,Nasser
Hello Nasser-san
Thanks for your reply.
May I ask the reason why DS64BR401 can't support 6G SDI?
Best Regards,
Hirokazu Takahashi
Hi Taskahashi-San,
DS64BR401 has not been validated for different SDI data patterns. Color bar could work but other patterns is not known.
