In case of IC SN65HVD231, CAN communication breaks down or error frames generate as motor starts. In normal conditions when motor is not operational, CAN communication occur nomally. If we replace IC SN65HVD231 with SN65HVD232 then CAN communication problems get resolve.

Analysis by connecting PIN8 directly to ground and through 10K ohm resistance done, but no improvement in waveforms achived.

Both the IC's analysis waveforms are attached herewith for your reference.

We have measured the SN65HVD231 with Rs to GND for high speed mode and the SN65HVD232, both with a 60 ohm load. There is no difference in the behaviour of the devices. We would not expect there to be any major differences other than process lot to process lot minor variation. Please see the attached measurement report.

Where did you obtain the units you have? They may have been damaged. If you have more units please test them or request additinal samples.
