DP83826E: LEDS in basicmode (contimued)

Part Number: DP83826E

Hi,

I developed a test board using DP83826E in basic mode. It should be strapped to proper operating mode. This brings up the strap up/down issue at the LED pins again.

I have digged trough the answers in this forum concerning this topic, which in most cases handles the confusion caused by a fault in the first datasheets. However I am still

puzzled by the fact that all given answers reference to the leds connected to ground while in the datasheet in basic mode a fixed active low polarity is mentioned ( twice).

So what is right?

  • Hello,

Unfortunately, I have no history of what you are referring to prior. It seems you have issue with the fact that basic mode LEDs are active low fixed. What seems to be the issue here?

    Sincerely,

    Gerome

  • Well, I was puzzled by this answer to a similar question (shown below), about two months ago. It is plainly wrong in my opinion, basic mode hardware strapped needs led connected to VCC in order to work properly. In that configuration, I need 1K series and 1K pull down to load strapping configuration properly at boot., Drawn in red my implementation, sorry for the "Pease" style of drawing.
