ONET1151L: EML Driver

Hello,

Is there any contraindication, other than impedance matching, to use ONET1151L with EML TOSA?

If no, is there any possibility to match the impedance of the ONET1151L to act as ONET1141L?

I want to design a testing circuit for DML and EML TOSA in one board, but I do not want to change laser driver. Please do not judge, just help (I know, that it is not the best idea).

    Hi Jedrzej,

    ONET1141L was designed and characterized to support 50-ohm load and high bias current while ONET1151L is designed to support 10-ohm load of a DML diode. Using these interchangeably has not been validated/characterized and i am afraid we could be walking into some unknowns. Suggestion is to design two boards for each of these parts.
