THVD1406: Connection of RE & SHDN pins

Hello Team,

In my design, I am planning to connect RE to GND and SHDN to 5V supply permanently.

So after power ON IC will able to Receive & Enable (Drive) ?

Or after power ON we need a High to Low transition for RE and Low to high transition for SHDN to set the IC in Receive & Transmit Enable

The control pins are level triggered; connecting them directly to GND/V_CC will work.

Hi,

As Clemens mentioned - the control pins are level triggered, not edge triggered, so direct connections to GND for /RE and VCC for /SHDN will allow the device to receive / drive when the VCC has reached its appropriate levels.
