My customer is using TMDS181 in their HDMI 2.1 application and reported compliance test failure due to the low impedance.
The test they used was №HF2-4(Sink TMDS Electrical – 6G – Differential Impedance),
where impedance requirements are listed as below:
1. Within the range of 75-125Ohm
2. Only one place can exceed the range of 85-115Ohm
TMDS181 seems to meet the first requirement but for the 2nd one both ESD diode TPD4E05U06DQAR and TMDS181 didn't meet the requirement.
Could you please check the customer's questions below?
1. Does TI have the TDR data regarding the MAIN LINK INPUT PINS(IN_D0p/n)?
2. Does TI have the TDR data regarding the TPD4E05U06DQAR
3. Does TI have a retime + ESD diode solution to pass compliance test HF2-4(by matching the impedance)?
