DP83848J: DP83848J - Ethernet Connectivity Issue through Switch KSZ8895MQ

Hi,

I am using an DP83848JSQ PHY connected with Switch KSZ8895MQ.

I can be able to ping the PHY IC from windows machine directly.

If I am using the Switch KSZ8895MQ in between the PHY IC and Windows PC, I can't be able to ping. But Auto-negotiation and link establishment are happening properly.

Kindly help me to find the cause and solution.

Hi Jaya,

It seems to me that it is KSZ8895MQ issue. Are you able to connect two PC to the switch and see rather it is able to communicate between two PC?

Hi Hillman,

Yes. I can be able to establish a connection between 2 PC's when it is connected to switch also.

Hi Jaya,

May I ask you couple questions for further debug?

Are you able to read 0x0000, 0x0001, and 0x0010 when you use the setup on Switch KSZ8895MQ in between the PHY IC and Windows PC?
