SN75LVDS83B: How to decrease EMC when SN75LVDS83B is used in application?

Part Number: SN75LVDS83B

Hi Team

Customer use SN75LVDS83B in RGB to LVDS application.

They use "33R magnetic beads" between Screen cable and SN75LVDS83B.

The current EMC radiation of the customer's product exceeds the standard.

Is there any way to help users reduce radiation (slow down the rising edge speed).

1.  Can the user adjust the drive capability of the IC ?

2.  Can the user use "1uF cap" to replace the "33R magnetic beads"?(I think AC coupling is not a good solution).

  • Hi Tony,

How is the customer determining where the EMC spike is coming from? What frequency is it occurring at? Also, what is the part number of the ferrite bead they are using? If you could share the schematic, that would be helpful.

    Regards,

    Ben
