Hello,

My customer would like to know the difference between the SN65176B and THVD1520.

Could you please tell us what is difference between the two products?

Is it possible to replace the THVD1520 with a board designed to use the SN65176B?

The SN65176B is a very old device with a huge supply current and less ESD protection. The THVD is pin-to-pin compatible.

As Clemens mentioned however the SN65176B is much older and has a worse performance than the THVD1520 - and I wouldn't suggest replacing the THVD1520 parts with the SN65176B parts. They are pin compatible - and the THVD1520 can be used to replace the SN65176B - but I wouldn't use the SN65176B to replace a THVD1520 - as the THVD part is more robust and is better suited for a wider array of applications.
