THVD8010: OOK and Naive 485 option

Can we use this IC for communication with normal RS-485 ICs also? We want to give provision for multiplexing of power line with communication with this IC, as well as naive 485 communication if the other end of communication, which is of our customer, does not support OOK and has normal 485 communication.
