DS92LV090A: Temperature Table + Top Side Cooling?

Hi all,

I have a customer who is looking for the temperature characteristic ratings of the DS92LV090A, specifically the Junction to Case Top Temperature Ratings (Theta JC-Top) if it is available.

In addition, I was wondering as well if it is possible for this device to be top-side cooled.

Hello Filipe,

Typically devices that support top-side cooling are QFNs and have a thermal pad at the bottom. This device has neither.

Thanks for your update. I see that you have the theta JC-top measured doesn't it mean that this component can be top cooled?

Do these information values apply to "DS92LV090ATVEHNOPB" as well?

Hello Zara,

Not necessarily. Most of our devices that have thermals include theta JC(top). However, this doesn't mean all should be top cooled. Adding a heatsink will depend on the system's environment and needs.

Yes, the thermal information provided above also applies to the DS92LV090ATVEHNOPB.
