Hi all.
Is there Thermal derating curve of RS-232 transceivers IC?
I would like to know TRS3227's Thermal derating.
Best Regard,
Ryusuke

Hello Fukunaga-san,
So we don't directly spec it - but when we do include something similar is just derived from the max junction temperature (this device doesn't explicitly state max junction - but its max storage temperature of 150C is going to be the max junction temperature) and thermal ambient to junction impedance. One thing to keep in mind that this curve is based on the assumption that the thermal impedance from ambient to junction is exactly what we spec in our datasheet- which is not true as this value can change a lot based on actual system implementation. For more information on this parameter and how it changes in system please see app note here: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/spra953c/spra953c.pdf?ts=1689348837686
