TFP410: TFP410 with TPD12S521

Part Number: TFP410
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD12S521

Hi team,

My customer would like to use TFP410 to output HDMI signal. Could I use TPD12S521 to protect the port?

If yes, The pins of TFP410 do not have CEC/DCLK/DDAT/HPD. Can I leave them unconnected?

If no, Do you have any suggested part numbers to protect HDMI port?

BR,

Jimmy

  • Hi Jimmy,

Sorry, this is a very old device, all information I can get based on the datasheet.

From the datasheet, I guess you can use it to have the ESD protect of data line, and we have about pF cap in these pins, hope it will not impact your communication speed.

For the other unused pin, their IO pin, so you can float it, thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Kuno
