The data sheet states that C2 is not used in a 5V operating circuit.

If C2 is connected,what kind of problems occur?

Hi,

So the charge pump will not work as expected if you deviate from suggested capacitor setup which could lead to application failure. That means that under no circumstances should you connect C2 in 5V circuits to ensure the device works properly and failure scenarios can be avoided.

If I connect C2 in a 5V operation circuit, will the charge pump output voltage become too large?

Hi,

It won't work properly and could compromise system - it doesn't matter exactly what will happen - just don't do it. Do not put that capacitor there .
