DS250DF230: Positive and negative pins can be swapped

Part Number: DS250DF230

Dear TI team,

First of all, because of trouble with the PCB routing, I want to swap the positive and negative pins. Is this possible?

Like capture below, Connecting SOC_TX_N to DS250DF230's RX0P and SOC_TX_P to DS250DF230's RX0N.

And then connecting DS250DF230's TX0P to Device_RX_N and DS250DF230's TX0N to Device_RX_P

Let me know if there is any distortion in each signal.

Second question:

I will use the DS250DF230 as a mux. Can I leave RX1P and RX1N floating?

Thanks

JS LEE

  • Hi JS,

    1) There is no issue with swapping polarity on the input and output of the DS250DF230.  It has no protocol awareness, so it just passes the data through the device.  Your schematic looks good.

    2) Yes, you can leave RX1P/RX1N floating in this application.

    Thanks,

    Drew
