Hello,

Please tell me how to handle the address pins of TCA9538.
When connecting the address terminals (A0, A1) to VCC, is it okay to connect them directly to VCC without using a PULLUP resistor?
Regarding other parts, I have the same question as above. Is it okay to connect the LP5018's address pin directly to VCC without going through the PULLUP resistor?

A pull-up resistor is not needed. But it might be useful if you want to change the address during debugging.

Hi Nagahama,

These pins can be connected with a resistor to the VCC supply or GND, or connected directly for the TCA9538.

Same rules apply for the ADDR0/1 pins on the LP5018 device.

This is the configuration Clemens is talking about. If this design is present on a PCB board, the system designer can now adjust the address bit high or low by de-popping R1 or R2 on the actual circuit board.
