TRS3253E: Auto-powerdown-plus

Part Number: TRS3253E

Hi team,

The datasheet states "With auto-powerdown plus enabled, the device activates automatically when a valid signal change is applied to any receiver or driver input.".

Just to make sure, does DOUT/ROUT work properly without data corruption even when immediately after activated by valid signal on either RIN or DIN?

Best regards,

Shota Mago

  • The driver needs about 100 µs to power up. At 115.2 kbaud, the length of a bit is about 8.7 µs.

  • Hi Shota,

DOUT takes typically 100us to exit power down - so no - the device does not immediately change states -  there is a delay. If the device goes to sleep you have to wake it up and that delay must be adhered to in the firmware of the system.  The receiver does not need the charge pump to function so it should typically enable in ~200ns as that is the typical enabling time for the receiver output.

    Best,

    Parker Dodson
