TCA9548A: TCA9548AMRGER: Reset command over I2C bus

Hi there,

I hope your day is going well.

We are using the TCA9548AMRGER chip in our design and we want to confirm if we issue the command byte (B7-B0): 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0, the device will be in a reset state.

The Master I2C controller does not have a reset connected to the reset pin of the TCA9548AMRGER chip.

Please let me know as soon as possible.

The control register is the only state that the TCA9548A has. Writing a zero value (and the Stop condition at the end of the write transaction) indeed puts it in the same state as after a reset.
