SN65176B: Part Marking----Devices showing marking as 28K and 28M

Part Number: SN65176B

Team,

Need your quick help on SN65176BDR part marking.

Devices have marking which mentioned 28K and 28M and customer is unable to find out the reasons why it has different marking.

Kindly help advice ASAP as production is stopped.

PCN already checked and this data is not captured.

As shown in the datasheet, the marking of the SN65176B is "65176B". Footnote (4) says: "There may be additional marking, which relates to the logo, the lot trace code information, or the environmental category on the device."

These are different lot trace codes. They will change regularly.

Clemens is correct. The additional information located on the top marking is used for tracking, dating, and lot information. The "65176B" is the consistent marking for part orderable/name identification.
