No matter what Cat5e cable type you use (straight or crossover); register 13h bit6=1.

MDI status not changing
Changed the Cat5E cable straight and crossover multiple time. and checked the status register 13H bit 6 is not at all changed .

please suggest on this.

Hi Sanjukumar,

Reg 13 is an Interrupt Status Register

Reading it once will let you know there has been a change
Reading it again resets it back to 0, until the next interrupt

If you're concerned with the MDI/MDIX status, I would recommend reading Register 0x11[9:8].
