Just to confirm, are you trying to protect the RX pins on the same 501 as we discussed before?
Or are you trying to protect the RX channel on the connector side?

In that case, you should be able use the same method we described for the TX side in the E2E you've linked.
The only change is to have your AC coupling capacitors be 330nF instead of 100nF.
