HI

I have a board with a channel link receiver DS90CR285 , which is 3V3 interface for FPGA.

I need to use 1V8 FPGA banks.

Can I use SN75LVDS82 (FlatLink) as 1V8 alternative to DS90CR285 ?

Are Channel Link and FlatLink compatible ?

    Hi,

    The SN75LVDS82 is a receiver, and DS90CR285 is a transmitter, so they are not interchangeable. Channel link and Flatlink devices cannot be paired together over a single link.

    By FPGA banks are you referring to power supply, or the swing on the signals? Could you tell us what speed the video clock will be, and what receiver you are planning to use?

    For your board with a DS90CR285 transmitter, the SN65LVDS93 could be a potential replacement: it can support 1.8 V IOVCC from the inputs but it is also 3.3V supply.
