DS100BR410: Differences between the DS100BR410 repeater, the DS100KR800 repeater, and the DS100KR401 repeater.

Part Number: DS100BR410

Tool/software:

Good afternoon,

What are the main performance differences between the three PNs listed in the thread title? I see that the 401 and 800 devices each have 8 channels where the 410 only has 4 and I noticed the pinouts of the 401 and 800 devices are slightly different, but are there any other large differences between these three?

Thanks.

  • Hi James,

BR410 is a limiting device - meaning it does not allow signal training to go through the part.

On the other hand, KR devices are linear parts and do allow training signals to go through the device.

KR devices are more like analog part while BR are digital - ones or zeros - at the output of the part.

    Regards, Nasser
