TIC12400-Q1: Vdd off during sleep mode

Dear Team,

could you please confirm if VDD (3.3V) can be switched off when the TIC12400-Q1 is scanning it's inputs autonomously and creates a wake up signal for the system by using the INT pin? Does the devive have any issue with that?

This would be a very low power mode were the Host MCU and most of the switching regulators are off.

Hi Markus,

I believe this is mentioned in the datasheet in section 8.3.9.3 Microcontroller Wake-Up, "VDD is therefore unavailable to both the TIC12400-Q1 device and the microcontroller and SPI communication is not supported. Switch status monitoring, however, is still active in the TIC12400-Q1."

Figure 8-9 shows how to implement this. Hope this helps clarify!
