TRSF3243E: TRSF3243EIPWR vs SP3243EUEY-L/TR

Part Number: TRSF3243E

Tool/software:

TRSF3243EIPWR vs SP3243EUEY-L/TR, 3 pin is different.

  • The original schematic in attached file, can it be replaced directly?
  • The difference is whether there is an auto-power down function, so will the suggestive part consume more power? Is there any other difference?
  • Pin21 INVALID# only impact ROUT2B (Pin20)?
  • If ROUT2B (Pin20) is not used, can will connect Pin21 INVALID# to N.C.? it this no functional impact?TRSF3243EIPWR vs SP3243EUEY E2E.docx

  • Hi Cheryl,

From what I can see, it looks like the competitor device changed the names of their pins. But the actual function is the same between ours and theirs. We call out power saving mode 'auto shutdown' whereas the competitor calls theirs 'Auto-Online'. The Status pin is the same as how our invalid pins works as well (so just different names). (Forceon = Online and Forceoff = shutdown and Invalid = Status).

Our ROUT2B is also always active (regardless of shutdown). This is the same as competitor.

The shutdown mode between both devices share the same typical and max values.

I would say that the competitor device is the same as ours.
