TCA9803: Connection with multiple buffer in series

Part Number: TCA9803

Tool/software:

Hi,

I have a question ragarding series connection of multiple buffers.

My idea is to connect one buffer in between each slave of the i2c bus, in order to exploit the buffer function and interrupt the bus line in special conditions.

In attached a pdf with the connection.

i2c-seriesbuffer.pdf

I would connect only A-side to B-side of the buffer, and the slave would be connected to the A-side of the buffer on the board.

In my idea at 100kHz i would connect up to 100 devices, thus 100 buffers.

Is it possible? Is there some limitations in the propagation delay of the signal?

Thank you,

Enrico Bonacini
