MAX232E: Inquiry Regarding PCN# 20240221008.1 - Qualification of RFAB and Associated Changes

Part Number: MAX232E

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I am reaching out regarding PCN# 20240221008.1, which pertains to the qualification of RFAB using the qualified process technology, die revision, datasheet updates, and the addition of assembly site options for select devices.

Could you please confirm if these changes have been fully implemented or if they are still in progress? Additionally, I would like to know if sample requests related to these changes are now available.

Your timely response would be greatly appreciated as it is important for our planning and operational needs.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

My understanding is this usually takes a bit of time to actually roll out. I've seen some devices we PCN'd in 2021 now starting to show up in the past year. I suspect any devices you buy from TI or distributors will still be the old devices for the next year. We normally keep the old ones in stock and deplete them before the new ones start to show up.

Additionally, I would like to know if sample requests related to these changes are now available.

I believe you should be able to get units of the newer device. Can you reach out to me at duynguyen@ti.com I will likely need to hand you off to our product marketing engineer or maybe the project manager who will likely be able to help get you units.
