Please tell me a bit more about the second question in the above thread.
In your answer, "This is an internal signal detection circuit which is based on the PLL status in the retimer", what kind of signal does "internal signal detection" specifically detect?

Hey Hiroshi-san,

No problem! Typically the DP159 looks to see if a signal is present across the RX pins of the device. In the typical application the DP159 is used as a DP++ to HDMI level shifter. The signal detector circuit is most likely a PLL that latched onto a frequency that is within the link specification. Once that PLL is latched the internal signal detection flag is raised and the output links are enabled.

I can look further into this, but this will require more time as I will need to consult our design team. Is the explanation provided sufficient?
