Hi,

We need to choose one I2C buffer to increase transmission distance(More than 1m), and now, we search in the TI website, the TCA4311, TCA9511, TCA9617 and P82B715 will implement this function.

Now, we need to choose one of these in our new project and the request refer to below:

1. The distance will be 1m for I2C;

2. Add the Hot Swappable function;

3. Why the protocols of the TCA4311A has no "I2C" identification?

It is just the way the product folder was set up. I would strongly recommend TCA9511A instead, thanks.

We serach the TCA4311A is similar with TCA9511A, and please kindly provide the different between these two I2C buffer? thanks.

Hi Zhang,

4311A includes rise time accelerators while 9511A do not. Both devices are P2P.

However, 4311A is missing ack errata in section 8.4.3 of the data sheet resulting in customer concerns. Hence, the P2P 9511A recommendation, thanks.
