LMH0070: LMH0070SQE/NOPB

Part Number: LMH0070

Tool/software:

Dear Team TI ,

In the above datasheet for POWER UP it is mentioned that "3.3V power supply should be brought up before the 2.5V supply. The timing of the supply sequencing is not important. The device has a power on reset sequence which takes place once both power supplies are brought up. This sequence will reset all register contents to their default values, and will place the PLLs into link acquisition mode, attempting to lock on the TXCLK input"

Both the highlighted statement shows conflict in the meaning: Can you please provide the clarification on this?

Timing sequence is really required or not? If YES/NO Please provide the clarification.

  • Hi Haresh,

Internal power on reset is AND function of 3.3V and 2.5V supplies.

Typically in designs where multiple supplies are used, it is a good design practice to bring up higher supplies first for ESD and device protection.
