Hi team,

Do you have comparison between TCA9536 and PCA9536? The customers are looking fir I2C-> GPIO, 2~3 ch with small package. So we suggest TCA9536 but we still want to know the differences between TCA9536 and PCA9536. Could you please help provide the comparison about the key spec, except for data speed?

    Hi Hale,

    TCA9536 is the p2p drop-in upgrade to the PCA9536. 

    TCA9536 fixes power-on reset errata in PCA9536. TCA9536 is faster up to 1 MHz operation, and has smaller package versions available such as X2SON 1.35mm x 0.80mm.

    TCA9536 also implements software reset via I2C general call address. 

    TCA9536 also has special function register 0x50 which allows for PU resistor enabled and P3 to function as an /INT.
