LMH0318: LMH1218EVM with LMH0318 not getting CDR lock

My original question still is related to the using the LMH1218EVM with the LMH0318 chip installed. The SigCon software is set up for the LMH1218. I am not seeing CDR lock

Maybe I should ask a simpler question. What needs to be done to communicate with SigCon and a device other than the LMH1218?

We use the LMH1218 updater to communicate with the LMH0318.

Make sure the correct input is setup in the high level page and to go through the device initialization. You can write to the low level page registers to perform the initialization.

I was able to find the SDI Profile Uodater and now have LMH0318 as a device, Still not locking or "detecting" the CDR.

Hi Brady,

Try the last portion of initialization again:

Make sure the channel page is selected by writing 0x04 to 0xFF, then write 0x5C to 0x0A and release by writing 0x50 to 0x0A.

If that does not work, please try a lower data rate.

That did not help. I'm trying to exhaust everything else before I lower data rate.
