I am not understanding this drawing. This chip will protect 3 lines. The drawing & statement with the red arrows do not make sense to me when taken at face value. I cannot route 3 traces in the way shown, it's geometrically impossible, even if they are all on different layers, because there would have to be vias. So what is this information actually trying to tell me?
Also, what do the black ovals represent?
