hi,
I want to confirm whether 621 chip can be designed in this way

Hi,
What is the targeted data rate? Is this a DP over Type-C design?
Thanks
David
This design has two input ports, a typec DisplayPort interface and an hdmi interface, but the two channels of the back-end video chip are the same pin, which requires a switch chip to do a switching signal input.
thanks
Hi,
Is the 10.2Gbps the total bandwidth? Please note TS3DV621 -3dB BW is 2.2GHz, able to support HDMI1.4 and DisplayPort 1.1a.
For the Type-C DisplayPort interface, do you need to DEMUX the DisplayPort signal from the Type-C? The Type-C DisplayPort needs to be AC coupled which I do not see from your schematic. You would want to have 0.1uF or 0.22uF on TX1 and TX2 and 0.33uF on RX1 and RX2.
The HDMI is DC coupled.
Thanks
David
hi,
yes,Hdmi 1.4 is sufficient。
I need DEMUX the DisplayPort signal from the Type-C and I put the AC couple on the typec interface. There are two interfaces connected to the TS3DV621 chip.
Thanks
Hi,
TS3DV621 will not able to support the DE-MUX of the DisplayPort signal from Type-C. You will need to use HD3SS460, TUSB564, or TUSB544 to DE-MUX first.
Thanks
David
HI ,
If the video chip supports typec signal input, can it be directly connected to the TS3DV621 chip
Thanks
Hi,
Yes, because the video chip will be responsible for the Type-C normal and flip orientation.
Thanks
David
