Since the National acquisition is finalized, I assume that it is OK to ask about this part in these forums now. I need a LVDS transmitter to go from an OMAP (OMAP4430/60) to a dual channel LVDS TFT LCD Panel. Since the popular SN75LVDS83B doesn't support dual channel LVDS output this was about the best choice I could find.
I'm a little confused on the TTL inputs to this part though since they have a evn and odd pair of RGB signals and to be honest I've seen a design which has even and odd TTL signals. I think I read in one of the app notes that I just wire to the odd signals and then some clocking scheme handles the generation of the even signals internally. I believe this can be used to go from a "single channel" TTL RBG signal to a dual channel LVDS panel. Any expert adive on this would be greatly appreciated.
Since the TTL output signal of the OMAP are at 1.8V I need a level shifter to go to the 3.3V inputs of the DS90C3201 part. I was thinking of using the SN74AVC32T245 dual supply transceiver. Is this part a wide choice and will it be fast enough in this application?
Thanks in advance!
