SN74AVC4T774: Overvoltage fault behavior

Part Number: SN74AVC4T774
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM63615-Q1, ISO6520

Tool/software:

Using the 74AVC4T774 with 3V on side A and 1.8V on side B. The side B 1.8V power is from a buck converter with 12V input.

This question is about the behavior of the part should the 1.8V regulator fail with 12V on its output.

Given that the 74AVC4T774 along with everything operating from 1.8V will fail, what is likely to happen to the voltages on the VCCA side of the part? Could they be protected, or would they also rise to overvoltage levels?

The switching regulator is an LM63615-Q1.
